I am so hyped for this! The duo PowerGlove is back doing the soundtrack to a new part of last years video game Farcry3 called Blood Dragon witch is now set in the “future” year 2007, just listen to the story.
The year is 2007. It is the future. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war and new paths for peace must be found. A U.S. cyborg army may have found a solution: a powerful bioweapon on a distant island. A Mark IV Cyber Commando, Sergeant Rex Power Colt has been sent over to gather information and figure out what the hell is going on.
Fantastic, absolutely fantastic! You can preview 3 of the tracks below in the soundcloud player, they nailed the atmosphere 100%, spot on! Farcry3 Blood Dragon will be released 1 May.
Check out the official Farcry3: Blood Dragon website for more 80′s references.
More dark releases on the go! One of my favorite producers DJ Antention recently released his debut album Blitz. What I especially like about DJ Antention is the raw old school buzz-saw-electro sound and that is exactly what this album got, 11 raw tracks that will rip you apart.
Swedish producer Owl Vision (pretty much the inventor of the music genre Death Electro) new full lenght album Dystopia is here. Contains 10 dark original tracks and should not be missed!

Falcon Funk is a new side-project by Rasmus Hermansen (one of the guys behind F.O.O.L) and Alan Charif.
Not much info is out yet, but they have a 4 track EP in the making (released over at Monstercat), but what they do have is a teaser of one of their tracks, Bust, witch sound reeeeally good, so if you are a fan of Glitch Hop/Funk you should definetly keep an eye on these guys.
So the day has finaly come, Kavinskys debute LP Outrun is here! Im a huge fan Kavinsky so this is one of this year big highlights for me (btw, it was him who inspired me for the name nightdrve).
The album contains 13 original tracks, both new and some remasterd classics like Testarossa Autodrive, Deadcruiser and Grand Canyon. The best new tracks are Blizzard, witch kicks of the album right after the short intro and the other favorite is Suburbia, witch got a really funky groove to it and an overall different sound from his usuall stuff.
Overall it’s a pretty solid album with no really “bad” track, so I highly recomend to buy the whole thing, burn a CD and drive through the night, this is the definitive night driving music.
This, ladies and gents, is one EP of pure perfection (I have been listening to this on repeat the last two days now). This is the follow up to last years Metropolis pt. I EP is here and man it’s such a sick release. This guys got i all totaly right with 6 original track, witch all insanely good, the favorites are Ghost in the Machine (much because of the beutiful lyrics) and Schadenfreude witch reminds me very much of the track Black from Metropolis pt. I (witch was the sickest track from that EP).
It is released by OWSLA Records (witch got ALOT of good releases lately), and if you have a subscription to The NEST you probably already got it, otherwise get the EP from
